About Shamir

Mr. Regev took on the position of Shamir CFO in April 2013, having served as Corporate Finance Manager since 2007 when he first joined Shamir. Prior to that he held a senior position in leading accounting firm, KPMG Israel. Mr. Regev, a certified public accountant in Israel, holds a BA in Accounting and Economics from the University of Haifa, and an MBA from Tel Aviv University.

Having joined Shamir in 1996, Mr. Katzman served as Manager of Coating R&D Laboratories, leading the team in the development of the Shamir Glacier line - a new generation of lens coatings. He was next appointed VP Engineering & Technology, a new department established at Shamir HQ in 2014. In this capacity, he was responsible for all engineering and technology activities of the Shamir Group. In 2016 Mr. Katzman was appointed CTO, and since August 2018 he serves as Chief Technology and Innovation Officer, leading the departments of research and optical design, software and product development, and technological innovation in machinery and coatings. Mr. Katzman holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Technion Israel Institute of Technology.

Mr. Decreton was appointed CMO of the Shamir Group in October 2018. Prior to this, he held senior international marketing and business positions with Essilor for over 20 years. Having started as a researcher, he then moved on to managing the R&D Vision Department, overseeing premium brands at Strategic Marketing, and finally serving as Marketing Director for Essilor Network Europe & Category Manager. Mr. Decreton holds a degree in Biomedical Engineering from Université de Technologie de Compiègne (UTC).

During the 20 years that he has been with Shamir, Mr. Avishai served as VP Marketing from 2003 to 2009, and VP Sales from 2009 to 2012. Mr. Avishai was responsible for business development throughout the Asian region from 2012 to 2018, with a focus on India, China, Australia and New Zealand. In July 2018, he was appointed Executive VP Group Mission, responsible for increasing public awareness of the importance of correcting poor vision and safeguarding eyesight. He also holds responsibility for e-commerce key Shamir accounts. Prior to joining Shamir in 1997, he served as finance manager for Kibbutz Shamir, a post which he held for three years.  Mr. Avishai holds a BA in Management and Economics from the Ruppin Academic Center, Israel.

Mrs. Dotan Glassberg joined Shamir in February 2019 as Vice President of Human Resources & Talent Management. Prior to joining Shamir, she held leading HR positions with global companies in a wide range industries, including medical devices and hi-tech. She served as VP Global HR at Amiad Water Systems until January 2019, a position which followed six years with Medingo, a start-up focused on devices for diabetics that was subsequently acquired by Roche. Mrs. Glassberg holds a BA in Japanese Studies from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and an MA in Sociology from Haifa University.

Mr. Rotem has been with Shamir for fourteen years, having begun as Project Manager at Shamir Eyal. Since 2006, he has worked on establishing and managing SSOP and was responsible for turning it into the Shamir Group’s leading lab. In 2014 Mr. Rotem was appointed VP Israel and Lab Practice at HQ, overseeing all operations, marketing and sales activities of Shamir Essilor and Nikon in Israel as well as ensuring best practices and quality for all group labs. Since September 2018, Mr. Rotem has served as the Shamir Group VP Rx Labs, responsible for setting and supporting best practices and processes for the Group’s labs worldwide, including production, service, engineering and quality.

Mrs. Efrat Eldan Schechter joined Shamir in June 2013 as Deputy General Counsel, acting as legal advisor to Shamir Headquarters and subsidiaries, and in 2019 was appointed General Counsel, managing the Legal Department for the Shamir Group. Mrs. Schechter's previous positions include serving as an intern with the Deputy General Counsel to the Government in the Israel Ministry of Justice (2006-2007), and associate attorney at Israeli law firm, Shenhav, Konforty, Shavit & Co. (2007-2013). A member of the Israeli Bar Association since 2007, Mrs. Schechter holds an LLB and LLM from Bar Ilan University, and an Executive MBA from Haifa University, Israel.

Mr. Naftalovich has been Chief Executive Officer of Shamir Insight since 2005, and President of Shamir North America since January 2015. Prior to this he worked with Shamir, Shamir Insight, and Shamir Eyal, in various positions including Marketing Vice President (Shamir Insight, 1997-2005), Product Manager, Marketing Director, and International Regional Export Manager for both Shamir and Shamir Eyal (1994-1997). Mr. Naftalovich also served as Vision Council Immediate Past Chairman & Nominating Committee Chairman for 2015 and 2016. Mr. Naftalovich holds a BA in business administration from the College of Management, Tel Aviv.

Mrs. Catherine Johnston-Roussillon joined Shamir France as General Manager in 2010 and was promoted to European Managing Director in July 2015. She graduated in languages (English/German), holds a Master’s degree in Marketing from the University of Grenoble, and studied Political Sciences in Munich, Germany. Before moving into the optical field, her work experience was in consumer goods with international companies, among them Sensodyne, Polident, and Elmex brands, managing their French subsidiaries

Mr. Song joined Shamir in September 2018 as President of Shamir Asia Pacific. Bringing to Shamir his broad business and marketing experience in the lens industry since 1998, Mr. Song began his career with Essilor where he worked for almost 12 years. He held various positions at Essilor including Sales Manager, Marketing Manager (ASEAN), and General Manager, covering both the branded and emerging brand channels. He then joined Hoya Lens in 2010 as Managing Director for Singapore & Distributor Markets (Vietnam & Cambodia), and over the next 8 years expanded his role to cover Malaysia and Thailand markets. Mr. Song holds a BA in Marketing and Public Relations from Curtin University of Technology, Australia.

Since joining Shamir in 2010, Ms. Hadad held various executive positions in business development, marketing, sales, as well as key account management positions. In 2012, working in business development, she successfully established Shamir activities in the new territories of Russia and Poland, and in 2014 further expanded activities to include Scandinavia. Ms. Hadad was appointed Europe Business Director in 2015, handling and managing a variety of projects and business development initiatives with Shamir subsidiaries, partners and customers. In 2019, she took responsibility for a new and challenging area in her role as the Shamir Group's President, RAME Region, including Russia, Africa and the Mediterranean. Efrat Hadad holds a BA in East Asia Studies and Arts from Tel Aviv University, and an MBA from Academic College, Kiriyat Ono.
