Small Environment Lens Optimized by Dynamic Power

With the use of proprietary EyePoint Technology, Shamir engineers created 4 Small Environment designs providing true edge-to-edge visibly distortion-free occupational lens.

Each design corresponds to a Dynamic Power. The Dynamic Power is the amount of power that is subtracted from the total reading prescription. In other words, it is the gradual reduction of power as the eye moves from the reading zone to the intermediate zone.

Figure A depicts 4 examples of Dynamic Powers. The second column shows a reading power of +1.50D with a Dynamic Power of -1.25D. As a result of this Dynamic Power the area above the fitting cross will gradually reduce to a stable +0.25D (+1.50 Ð 1.25 = 0.25).

Finally, as shown in Figure B, the optimal distance vision for this prescription is 7 feet.
