Genesis™ Premium Progressive Lens Fitting Instructions
Frame Fitting
Before taking any measurements, make sure the patient
is sitting straight, without any back support.
Adjust the frame to correctly fit the patient.
Ensure a pantascopic tilt of 10"-12".
Minimize the vertex distance by fitting the frame
as close to the face as possible. This will ensure a
wide field of vision at all ranges.
Pupil Distance Measurement
Be aware that the PD can differ from eye to eye.
When using a pupilometer for measuring pupil distance,
verify the result through a manual test.
If a pupilometer is not available:
Position yourself at the patient’s eye level,
making sure he is looking directly into your eyes.
Mark the pupil center on the demo lens in the frame.
Place the demo lens on the centration chart and
read the monocular PD.
Height Measurement Fitting
Be aware that the fitting height can differ from
eye to eye.
Position yourself at the patient’s eye level.
Mark the pupil center on the demo lens in the frame.
We recommend a minimum fitting height of 19 mm.
Cut-Out Confirmation
Check both the right and left lenses.
Align the pupil center marking over the cross on the
centration chart.
Make sure the frame shape falls within the selected
lens diameter.
Genesis Premium Progressive Lens Verification
If lenses are not marked, restore the markings with
the Creation marker.
Fit the completed glasses on the patient and verify
that the fitting cross is aligned with the pupil center.
